12.18.2 Functionality
The circuit breaker condition monitoring function SSCBR is used to monitor different
parameters of the circuit breaker. The breaker requires maintenance when the number of
operations has reached a predefined value. For proper functioning of the circuit breaker,
it is essential to monitor the circuit breaker operation, spring charge indication, breaker
wear, travel time, number of operation cycles and accumulated energy. The energy is
calculated from the measured input currents as a sum of I

2 t values. Alarms are generated
when the calculated values exceed the threshold settings.
The function contains a block alarm functionality.
