Replacement procedures
10. With an open end wrench, unscrew the transfer tube from the detector
base. Lift the transfer tube—containing the fused silica liner—vertically
off the instrument. Remove the fused silica liner and the 1/16-inch Vespel
ferrule by pulling the fused silica liner and ferrule out from the bottom.
Inspect for damage.

11. If necessary, install a new fused silica liner and Vespel ferrule. When
doing so, carefully feed the fused silica liner through the O-ring at the
top of the transfer line so as not to damage the O-ring.
