Setting Conditions
Flow rates
The Headspace Sampler has two distinct methods of flow
control. It can be used in MPC mode with mechanical pneumatic
controls. It can also be used with a GC with EPC control. The
procedure for setting flow rate differ for EPC and MPC.
Refer to the GC operating manual for details about its flow
systems. See Figure 17 for the location of the Headspace
Sampler pressure regulator and flow controller.
Make sure that the EPC/MPC toggle switches on the underside
of the Headspace Sampler lid are set to the correct flow mode
before proceeding. Use any combination of MPC and EPC flow
control and pressure control. Refer to the Headspace Sampler
installation manual for details.
