Sequence of events
The normal sequence of events is:
1 Standby condition. The Headspace Sampler is at the previous
method setpoints.
2 Load method.
3 The system waits for the oven equilibration time.
4 Run/Method start. The first vial moves into oven.
5 If agitation (shaking) is set, the carousel shakes for a preset
time.
6 The oven heats the vial for the vial equilibration time.
7 The vial fills with pressurization gas.
8 Vial sampled. Sample loop fills.
9 Sample loop equilibrates.
10 Headspace Sampler makes the headspace injection and
triggers a GC start.
11 The vial returns to the carousel.
12 The vial returns to the tray
Multiple headspace extraction with multiple vial puncture
MHE mode can make up to 100 extractions per vial. With
multiple vial puncture, the needle exits the vial and the vial
returns to its original position in the oven after an extraction.
Vial agitation is allowed.
MHE is not allowed if Parameter Increment (Advanced
Function 2) is on.
