What to Do Next After configuring a member switch, do the following:
1. Power off the member switch.
2. Repeat these procedures to configure all member switches, assigning
each one a unique ID number and identifying the ports of the trunk.
3. If you have not already configured the master switch, perform
“Configuring the Master Switch” on page 154.
4. Power off the master and all member switches.
5. Cable the ports of the trunk on the master and member switches. Refer
to “Cabling Copper Ports” on page 174. For trunks consisting of
Gigabit SFP ports on x530-28GSX Switches, refer to “Installing SFP
and SFP+ Transceivers” on page 176. For cabling examples, refer to
“Stack Trunks of 1Gbps Copper Ports” on page 72.
6. Perform “Powering on the Stack” on page 170.
7. Perform “Verifying the Stack” on page 171 to confirm that the switches
formed the stack.
8. Cable the networking ports, as explained in Chapter 8, “Building the
Stack with Gigabit or 5G Multi-speed Ports” on page 149.
