Powering on a Switch
Before powering on a switch, review the information in “Power
Specifications” on page 195 for the power specifications of the switches.
Warning
Power cord is used as a disconnection device. To de-energize
equipment, disconnect the power cord. E3
Note
Pluggable Equipment. The socket outlet shall be installed near the
equipment and shall be easily accessible. E5
To power on a switch, perform the following procedure:
1. Install the power cord retaining clips on the AC power cords on the
rear panel of the switch. Refer to Figure 56.

2. Connect the AC power cords to the AC power connectors on the rear
panel of the switch. Refer to Figure 57 on page 147.
