8. Attach the hose for the oxygen supply to
the gas airlock and secure it with the union
nut.
9. To secure the gas hose in a bend without
kinking, place the hose into the clip on the
right-hand side of the analyzer panel and
twist the clip.
Checking the halide trap and drying tube
 Make sure that the drying tube is filled with magnesium perchlorate and quartz wool
is only present in the lower part of the tube.
 For C detection install the halide trap filled with copper and brass wool in the gas
path.
 For S detection remove the halide trap and connect an empty U tube instead.
IMPORTANT
The halide trap absorbs sulfur. Therefore, the use of the halide trap must be evaluated
for
C/S detection. Dependent on the matrix it is recommended for low sulfur concentrations not
to use a halide trap, but the halide trap should be installed in the gas path for higher conce
n-
trations.
