Maintenance and care
multi EA 4000 Version 01.16 93
IMPORTANT
The combination electrode consists of ceramic material and is especially sen
sitive in the
electrode smelting area.
Handle the combination electrode with great care! As a wearing part it is not covered by wa
r-
ranty!
Pulling it out of the cover of the measuring cell and connecting it to the measuring gas can
cause major mechanical stress if handled incorrectly and with it the fracture at the electrical
connection of the combination electrode.
Correct
Incorrect
Grip the electrode from above and pull the
electrode straight up out of the cover.
Do not pull and wobble at the connection
sleeve for the electrical connections on
the side. The connections in the sleeve
will break (not visible from outside)!
Correct Incorrect
Slide the measuring hose only approx. 1 cm
onto the electrode. This achieves gas-
tightness.
If you slide the hose too far onto the elec-
trode, it gets stuck on the electrode. The
electrode can break when the hose is
pulled out!
