7.6.7 Alternator
To keep good performance to the electric equipment, it is necessary to keep the alternator clean.
All service operations MUST be done with engine stopped.
Wait some minutes for cooling of components.
Open the engine covers to approach the engine.
Use compressed air (max 3 bar | 43.5 PSI).
Clean the alternator every 40 hours.
Frequency of cleaning depends on work conditions; if the machine works in very dusty conditions it
is recommended to clean the alternator daily.
Wear protective glasses and mask to avoid risk of dust and particles inhalation or contact with
eyes.
