7.7 COOLERS
Main cooler has multiple parallel sections: engine coolant, intercooler (if present), hydraulic oil.
In front of the main cooler there is the A/C condenser.
It is mandatory to clean the cooler at least every 8 hours of work; frequency of cleaning depends on
work conditions.
If the machine works in very dusty conditions, high care in cleaning the cooler is required.
1) Main cooler: Intercooler section
2) A/C condenser
All service operations MUST be done with engine stopped.
Wait some minutes for cooling of components.
Open the engine covers to approach the coolers.
Remove the knobs and incline the A/C condenser to better access the main cooler and better clean the A/C
condenser itself.
For cleaning use exclusively compressed air. Clean front and rear part of the cooler.
Do NOT keep the compressed air jet too close to the fins of the cooler: they may be damaged.
Do NOT use water at high pressure as it can damage the fins of the cooler, or cause the obstruction of
the airflow and consequently the overheating of cooling liquid.
Wear protective glasses and mask to avoid risk of dust and particles inhalation or contact with
eyes.
