Operator’s Manual
Self-propelled sprayer ATOM
At every first start, to help the pump charge, reduce the spray pressure and let the pump turn for some
minutes at about 1300 diesel rpm.
Make sure there are no air bubbles left into the suction hoses.
7.12.1 Pump lubrication
The oil level is visible from the oil tank at the top of the pump (1).
To change the oil remove the oil drain plug (4).
Use only the recommended oil type 20W30 (see manual of the pump).
The pump must be used only with clean water or mixture of water and chemicals for agricultural
spray operations.
Do not use the pump with water at temperature under 5° C (41° F) or higher than 40° C (104° F).
Do not use water with salt or impurities.
7.12.2 Diaphragm breakdown
Diaphragm breakdown may cause serious damages to the internal components of the pump.
The main symptoms of diaphragm breakdown are:
White colour of oil (due to presence of water)
Excessive oil consumption
No oil visible in the tank
If a diaphragm breakdown occurs, immediately stop the spray, turn off the pump and contact the authorized
local Dealer to replace the diaphragm.
If there is no possibility to rapidly change the diaphragms replace the contaminated oil with new one.
In case of use of aggressive chemicals it is necessary to change all diaphragms at the end of the
spraying season.
7.12.3 Pump valves
Periodically check and clean pump valves.
Pump valves have to be checked frequently when using aggressive chemicals.
Do NOT use the pump with fuels, flammable liquids or other dangerous fluids.
