Self-propelled sprayer ATOM
7.17 BATTERY
Before starting any service to the battery, park the machine safely and turn off the engine.
Let the engine cool down, to avoid possible burns.
1) Battery
2) Bracket
3) Fixing nuts
Remove fixing nuts (3).
Remove the brackets (2).
Remove electric cables.
Remove the battery and replace with a new one with same power and capacity.
Fit again the brackets and fixing nuts.
Connect electric cables.
The electrolyte liquid is extremely toxic and dangerous. Protect eyes, face and hands when servicing
battery.
If the acid gets in contact with skin or eyes, wash immediately for a long time with clean water the
contaminated part and consult immediately a medical centre.
In case of acid ingestion consult immediately a medical centre.
Check the electric cables connections to the battery and replace if necessary.
Make sure that the poles of the battery are clean and rust-free. If necessary clean the poles by a steel brush
and protect with neutral grease to prevent oxidation.
The battery can be recharged.
The battery may cause explosive gas. Do not smoke near the machine and keep away flames and hot
surfaces.
Charge the battery only in a well ventilated place.
Do NOT use battery charger/electric starter to try starting the engine. Replace the battery with a new
one.
Battery charger/electric starter can cause damages to electric loom components (engine ECU, body
computer, etc.).
