Connect
the
larger
ribbon
cable
to
the
34-pin
connector
on
the
rear
of
the
HDU,
ensuring
that
the
numbers
on
the
cable
connector
correspond
with
those
on
the
HDU
connector
(Figure
3-29).
8.
Connect
the
power
cable
to
the
rear
of
the
HDU.
9.
Push
the
Drive
Assembly
all
the
way
into
the
slot
until
the
assembly
is
locked
into
place.
Setting
DIP
Switches
and
Jumpers
There
are
several
DIP
switches
and
jumpers
that
must
be
set
with
the
removal
of
the
MFD
Unit
B
and
the
installation
of
the
HDU.
One
switch
is
located
on
the
Motherboard
and
the
remainder
of
the
switches
and
jumpers
are
on
the
HDU
Controller.
1.
Turn
the
System
Module
upside
down
so that
the
lower
cover
is
on
top.

Connect
the
other
end
of
the
large
ribbon
cable
to
the
34-pin
P|
connector
niarked
"Jl"
on
the
HDU
Controller
Board,
-
ensuring
that
the
colored
stripe
is
on
the
bottom
(DTC)
or
on
the
left
for
Western
Digital.

lower
cover
forward

0.5
inch
and
lift
it
from
the
System
