DIAGNOSTICS
INTRODUCTION
The
AT&T
Personal
Computer
6300
has
three
different
levels
of
diagnostic
testing:
Motherboard
Memory
Keyboard.
The
Resident
Diagnostics
are
the
lowest
level
of
tests
that
are
performed
on
the
AT&T
Personal
Computer
6300.
The
tests
are
automatically
executed
when
power
is
applied
to
the
system.
The
purpose
of
the
Resident
Diagnostics
is
to
assure
a
minimum
working
level
of
the
main
modules
in
the
system.

The
next
level
of
diagnostic
testing
is
the
Customer
Test
Diagnostics.
The
Customer
Test
Diagnostics
are
stored
on
a
diagnostic
diskette
that
is
provided
to
the
customer.
The
purpose

of
these
tests
is
to
provide
the
customer
with
a
set
of
comprehensive
tests
to
verify
the
correct
operation
of
each
module

in
the
AT&T
Personal
Computer
6300.
These
tests
should
be
run:
On
initial
installation
After
any
maintenance
work
After
adding
any
options.
