TROUBLESHOOTING
WITHOUT
SYSTEM
TEST
This
section
contains
checks
that
are
performed
when
normal
system
responses
are
not
received
after
the
power
switch
is
turned
ON.
If
the
Resident
Diagnostics
are
performed
during
power
up,
a
beep
is
heard
to
indicate
the
completion
of
these
tests.
If
the
results
of
the
Resident
Diagnostics
are
displayed
and
errors
are
indicated,
refer
to
the
"Resident
Diagnostic
Error
Messages"
for
a
list
of
the
error
messages
and
the
corrective
action
to
be
taken.
If
a
unit,
such
as
the
power
supply,
display,
MFD
unit,
or
HDU
is
suspected
of
being
faulty,
individual
checks
are
provided
for
these
units.
System
Will
Not
Power
Up
Normally
If
the
system
does
not
respond
normally
after
the
power
switch
is
turned
ON,
the
following
indicators
and
Figure
5-1
may
be
used
to
determine
the
source
of
the
trouble
and
the
action
to
be
taken:
