Reminders
To
avoid
possible
internal
damage
to
the
system's
circuitry
by
static
electricity,
be
sure
to
wear
a
wrist
strap
(static
discharge
strap)
that
is
Connected
to
ground
or
touch
the
metal
chassis
of
the
system
just
before
you
start
to
handle
any
circuit
boards
or
chips.
Also,
avoid
touching
solder
lands
and
components
as
much
as
possible.

During
attempts
to
isolate
and
resolve
system
troubles,
the
System
Module
must
be
shifted
into
various
positions
to
allow
access
to
certain
areas.
When
handling
the
System
Module,
care
should
be
^
taken
not
to
damage
its
components
in
any
way.
If
the
System
j
j
Module
contains
a
Hard
Disk
Unit
(HDU),
extra
care
should
be
taken
because
the
HDU
is
very
sensitive
to
sudden
shocks.
The
HDU
heads
should
be
parked
with
the
"SHIP"
command
before
moving
the
unit.
You
must
never
lift
the
System
Module
for
any
reason
if
power
is
present
on
the
HDU.

When
replacing
circuit
boards,
do
not
remove
the
new
board
from
its
packaging
material
until
it
is
ready
to
be
installed.
After
the
^
new
board
has
been
installed,
the
faulty
board
should
be
placed
in
|
[
the
packaging
material
as
soon
as
possible.
