Video System Test
The Video System Test performs the following tests:
• Hardware Test
• Monitor Test Patterns
• Character Set
M • Color Bars / Grey Scale
^ ^ • 80 by 25 Alphanumerics, Character Attributes
• 80 by 25 Alphanumerics, Paging
• 40 by 25 Alphanumerics, Paging
• 640 by 400 Graphics, 2 Colors
• 640 by 200 Graphics, 2 Colors
• 320 by 200 Graphics, 4 Colors.
Hardware: Tests the hardware of the Display Unit and Display
Controller.
Monitor Test Patterns: Displays the test patterns on the
screen so that proper alignment of the screen can be checked. The
test patterns include an alignment grid and a screen display full of
"H's".
Character Set: Checks the Display Controllers ROM by writing
all available characters to the screen.
Color Bars / Gray Scale: Checks the different colors or shades
of grey or green phosphorous Displays, as the case may be. The
various colors are: Black, Blue, Red, Magenta, Green, Cyan, Brown,
White, Dark Grey, Light Blue, Light Red, Light Magenta, Light
Green, Light Cyan, Yellow, and Intense White.
