a. Check all cables, power, data, and control to make
sure they are properly connected.
c. Replace the HDU.
2. FIXED DISK: PRESENT or READY but cannot access

b. Run the fdisk procedure to check the disk partitions.

If you are experiencing Hard Disk Problems, these maybe solved j
using the following procedures. If the problem still exists, the . j
Hard Disk will have to be replaced.

Note: Hard Disks with a bad track among the first four-
tracks of the drive (0-3 tracks) cannot be used by _
MS-DOS 3.1. The HDU must be replaced. j ]
Problems During Power-Up Diagnostics: ^
1. FIXED DISK: NOT PRESENT or NOT READY

b. Do the "Cold Start" procedure: toggle the ON/OFF
switch quickly to make sure the drive spins up fast
enough to be recognized.
