There are three basic steps that can be taken in an attempt to
clear this HDU problem:
a. Place low-level format on HDU (System Test Diagnostics).,
b. Build MS-DOS partitions on the HDU (fdisk command).
1^ c. Reformat the HDU (format command with \s option).
If these steps do not produce a usable HDU, the HDU must be
replaced.
The following sections contain step-by-step procedures to resolve
the above HDU problem.
