SHIP
THE
UNIT:
This
is
actually
not
a
test
for
the
HDU.
It
is
a
software
routine
that
sets
the
heads
of
the
HDU
in
an
unused
track
at
the
end
of
the
disk.
This
reduces
the
possibility
of
the
disk
being'
damaged
when
the
unit
is
transported
from
one
location
to
another.
This
subroutine
can
also
be
found
on
the
MS-DOS
disk.

DISPLAY
BAD
TRACK
TABLE:
This
test
checks
to
see
if
there
are
any
bad
tracks
on
the
HDU
and
puts
them
in
a
table.

FORMAT
BAD
TRACKS:
This
Test
Will
Erase
All
Files
on
the Disk.
This
test
finds
bad
tracks
and
marks
them
as
bad
tracks
in
the
BTT.

RUN
ALL
OF
THE
ABOVE
TESTS:
This
Test
Will
Erase
All
Files
on
the
Disk.
This
test
runs
tests
1
to
13,
inclusively.
8087
Math
Co-Processor
If
the
system
configuration
switches
indicate
that
the
8087
Numeric
Data
Processor
is
present,
then
the
8087
test
is
performed.
The
8087
test
involves
doing
initializations
to
the
processor
and
making
sure
they
all
pass.
Parallel
Printer
Test
This
option
tests
the
printer
connected
to
the
parallel
port
of
the
system.
The
test
initializes
the
printer
which
prints
out
a
complete
character
set.
