utility
will
allow
the
user
to
Low-Level
Format
a
hard
disk,
enter
bad
tracks
in
a
table,
verify
surface,
and
mark
them
on
HDU.
The
basic
operations
performed
are
to;
1.
Low-Level
Format
a
HDU
and
determine
the
"Optimal
Interleave
Factor."
2.
Get
bad
track
information
from
the
user.
3.
Execute
the
"VERIFY
SURFACE"
test.
5.
Mark
every
bad
sector
in
a
track.

Stand-Alone
Low-Level
Format
(LLF)
Utility
Test
is
similar
to
the
Hard
Disk
Test
portion
of
the
PC
6300
System
Test,
but
has

a
professional
presentation
for
a
better
user
interface.

with
either
the
Western
Digital

Controller
(WD)
or
the
Data
Technology
Controller
(DTC).
It
will

which
hard
disk
controller
is
installed
(WD

DTC).
