Replacing Mini-Floppy Disk Unit With Hard
Disk Unit
The replacement of the Upper MFD Unit with a Slim 10-MB HDU
is performed in four parts:
• Removing Upper MFD Unit
• Installing Slim 10-MB HDU
• Installing HDU Controller
• Setting DIP switches and jumpers.
Removing Upper MFD Unit
1. Turn the System Module and all external devices OFF.
2. Unplug the ac power cable from the rear panel.
3. Disconnect all cables (Keyboard, Display, Printer, etc.) from
the System Module rear panel.
4. Loosen the four screws that secure the upper and lower
covers (located on the rear panel).
5. Slide the upper cover forward approximately 0.5 inch and
lift it from the System Module.
