Serial Port(s) Test (Using 8250)
The serial port(s) test may be carried out with or without a
loopback jumper. This test will check up to two serial ports (using
8250). You are asked if a loopback jumper is connected:
IS THE SERIAL PORT LOOPBACK JUMPER INSTALLED? C'y'- YES.'n'- NO)
The loopback jumper connects the following pins (Figure 4-3):
