that

the

colored

stripe

on

ribbon

cable

is

on

the

bottom

(DTC)

on

the

left

for

Western

Digital.

cables

that

were

disconnected

from

the

rear

panel

(Keyboard,

Display,

Printer,

etc.).

If

on

boot-up

diagnostics

FIXED

DISK

does

not

show

"1

Ready"

or

"Present,"

then

check

for

the

stripe

direction

on

the

HDU

signal

cables

at

the

HDU

end

(Figure

3-29).
