4. At the end of the Resident Diagnostics, a short beep is
heard.
5. At this point, the system checks your disk drives. If a hard
disk is present, you receive a Ready message. If not, you
receive a Not Present message.
6. The system now checks floppy disk drive A. If a diskette is
in the drive, you receive a Ready message. If a diskette is
not in drive A, you receive a Not Ready message.
If the computer finds a diskette in drive A that it cannot
boot from, you will receive a Ready message and the error
message:
Non-System disk or disk error.
Replace and strike any key when ready
