3. When running the low-level utility under the system _
diagnostics test, the configuration should show test j
series 900. '
2. If when running fdisk the user gets two drives of the same
cylinder size, even though the drives are of different
capacities, check the following:
a. The switch settings on the controller are not set
properly for drive 2.

If the configuration shows test 2400, check that the drive j 1,
select switch on the first HDU is set to drive 2.
5. When formatting a drive larger than 32 MB, a 9 MB j
formatted DOS partition is produced due to the way
MS-DOS handles drives larger than 32 MB. In releases of
MS-DOS before 3.2, the maximum drive size is 32 MB. This M
is to be fixed in DOS 3.2 and higher. '
6. When two drives are connected to the PC 6300 (ROM BIOS ' |
1.21 or earlier), the second disk is not recognized on startup
unless the reset switch is pressed. To remedy this, install
ROM BIOS 1.43 and check the switch (or jumper) settings on P
the controller. i '
7. If the Hard Disks installed are not being recognized during **
execution of resident diagnostics (ROM BIOS version 1.21
and later), check the DIPSW-1 Switch 3.
