7. Put on the wrist strap and connect it to ground (if
available), or touch the metal chassis before picking up the
RAM chip to release static electricity from your hand.
8. Carefully remove the faulty RAM chip using the chip
extraction tool.
9. Align the new RAM chip pins (A) with the socket (B). Make
sure that the notch in the chip (C) is facing the same
directipn as the other chips on the board (Figure 5-76).
