5.1.4.5 Printout of Nozzle Test Pattern (Function code 09)
Function
This function prints out a nozzle test pattern (Print Quality Check sheet) to allow the service
personnel to check the print quality.
If any print quality problem is found, use Function code 76 to perform an appropriate purge
operation (refer to Section 5.1.4.27).
Operating Procedure
Before starting the operation below, be sure to set letter- or A4-size paper in the paper tray for
printing test patterns.
Press the 0 and 9 keys in this order in the initial stage of the maintenance mode.
The figure on the next page shows a test pattern which is printed on the Print Quality Check
sheet.
