Add to the block list
S elec t to block the selected IP ad dress .
- From the drop-down list, select the time frame that you want the IP
address to be blocked.
Disconnect this connection and block the IP
Select to disconnect the
connection and also block the IP address.
STEP 3
Click
OK
to save the settings or click
Cancel
to exit.
Syslog
From the
Administration > System Log Settings > Syslog
window, you can enable
syslog to save the event logs and connection logs to a remote syslog server.
Syslog is a standard for forwarding log messages in an IP network. The NAS has a
built-in syslog server. For more information, see
Syslog Ser ver, page150
.
To configure the syslog settin gs:
STEP 1
Click
Administration > System Log Settings > Syslog
from the Navigation menu.
The
Syslog
window opens.
STEP 2
Click
Enab le sys lo g
.
STEP 3
Enter the hostname or IP address of the syslog server in the Syslog Server field.
