iTunes Serve r
From the
Applications > iTunes Ser vice
window, you can enable the iTunes
Server s ervic e. Wh en enab led, this serv ic e lets you share mp3 files that are in the
Multimedia folder on the NAS. You can find, browse, and play all the music files on
the NA S using com puters that are on the networ k by using iTune s .
NOTE
To use the iTunes Service, iTunes must be installed on your computer and music
files must be uploaded to the Multimedia folder of NAS. You can download the
latest iTunes software from the Apple website at http://www.apple.com.
To enable the iTunes Service:
STEP 1
Choose
Applications > iTunes Service
from the Navigation menu. The
iTunes
Service
window opens.
STEP 2
Click
Enab le iTune s S erv ice
to enable iTune s S erv ic e.
STEP 3
If you want to require the users to access the data only by entering the correct
password, click
Password required
and enter a passw ord.
STEP 4
To display the label information correctly, select the label encoding for the music
files from the
Label Encoding
drop-dow n list .
