B.6 Separate ground cable
B.6.1 To construct a ground cable
When dealing with electrical installations in a marine environment, all
wiring must be done with double insulated, tinned strands, high quality
and if exposed also UV resistant cables. This shall also apply to the
separate ground cable mentioned in the previous paragraphs.
The ground cable is constructed using an appropriate cable with a cross
section area of at least 6 mm
2
(AWG10) and terminated with insulated
ring crimp terminals, see the illustration below. The crimp terminals
must be a marine approved type e.g. the DuraSeal series from Raychem.
