Shunt-Field Reversing Motors
For shunt-field reversing motors, connect the shunt field coil positive terminal to the SW’D B+
output, and the coil negative terminal to SW’D GND as per the diagram in Figure 35:

Standard Four-Way Solenoid-Activated Hydraulic Valves
Connection to 12 VDC or 24 VDC solenoids should be made as per the diagram in Figure 36.
In this configuration, the autopilot supplies the positive voltage (SW’D B+) whenever the
autopilot is in POWER STEER, AUTO, or NAV modes. SW’D B+ is turned off in STANDBY
mode, thus providing an extra measure of safety.
A warning should be here : do not wire an external JOG Lever directly to M1 M2,
otherwise you may damage the drive output circuits in the SPU and void the
warranty on your P4 system, and/or the warranty of other equipment.
