3.5 Available EMC Classes
The product standard (EMC immunity requirements) IEC/EN 61800-3 + A1 has 5 categories. The VACON
®
AC drives are divided into 5
EMC classes that have equivalents in the standard. All VACON
®
NX AC drives comply with the standard IEC/EN 61800-3 + A1.
The type code tells which category requirement the AC drive complies with (see
3.3 Description of the Type Code).
The category changes when these properties in the AC drive change:
Level of electromagnetic disturbances
Requirements of a power system network
Installation environment (see the standard IEC/EN 61800-3 + A1)
