4 Receiving the Delivery
4.1 Checking the Delivery, FR8–FR12
Before a VACON
®
AC drive is sent to the customer, the manufacturer makes many tests on the drive.
Procedure
After removing the packaging, examine the drive for transport damage.
If the drive was damaged during the shipping, speak to the cargo insurance company or the carrier.
To make sure that the delivery is correct, compare the order data to the data on the package label, see
3.2 Package Label.
If the delivery does not agree with the order, contact the vendor immediately.
To make sure that the contents of the delivery is correct and complete, compare the type code of the product to the type
code, see 3.3 Description of the Type Code.
Check that the delivery contains all ordered items.
Standard delivery:
Power unit(s) with one integrated control unit. The power unit in FR12 with the integrated control unit is referred to as
Power unit 1 the other one as Power unit 2 later in this manual.
AC choke(s), check the amount in tables in 12.5 AC Chokes. FR8 and FR9 have internal AC chokes.
FR12 units only: optical cable set for internal control connections between control unit and power units
Delivered on request:
Door installation kit NXDRA02B for installing the control panel on the enclosure door.
Control unit with fixing plate. See also 5.5.1.3 Mounting the Control Unit, FR8–FR12.
Cable set, including seven optical cables and a 24 V connecting cable, readily connected to the power unit and the
control unit. Standard length: 2.3 m (4.265 ft).
Attach the Product Modified Label. See 4.6 Using the Product Modified Label.
4.2 Checking the Delivery, FR13–FR14

Standard delivery (check the exact number of components in 12.5 AC Chokes ):
1or 2 NXI inverter units
2–4 NXN non-generative front-end (NFE) units with 2 or 3 units mounted in brackets
Control unit with fixing plate. See also 5.5.2.3 Mounting the Control Unit, FR13–FR14.
AC choke per each NFE unit
FR14 only: dU/dt filter (optional; 1 per inverter unit)
Cable set for NFEs and inverter units
Optical cable set for internal control connections between control unit and power units
