An example of initial setup steps:
1. Connect the switch to a computer with an RJ45 Ethernet cable.
2. By default, the switch does not have an IP address. The “BootP” function is active by
default.
3. Use the Phoenix Contact IPAssign software to set the initial IP address for the switch.
Alternatively, connect an RS-232 cable and set the IP address with terminal software,
such as PuTTY.
4. Access switch web management with an Internet browser using the previously given
IP address.
Default username: Admin
Default password: private
5. Configure the network settings.
