optimum flow of sample gas to the analyzer.
To check the sampling system:
a) Turn off gas supply and block valves
b) Check the filter element replace if required
c) Check that the sample pressure is set at 15 psig.
d) Check sample flow on the chassis flow meter is somewhere between 1.5 and 2.0 on the
tube scale
7.5 Total Sulfur Sample System
To check the Total Sulfur Sample System:
a) Place the analyzer in the Total Sulfur Analysis mode.
b) Check that the Hydrogen or Sample flows have not decreased from their setup positions.
If they have it may indicate a partial blockage from coke build up in the quartz tube inside
the total sulfur furnace.
c) If there is no flow indication through the total sulfur flow meters, a total blockage of the
quartz tube may have occurred and it will be necessary to replace the tube (Section 7.6).
