Calibrations
The calibration frequency varies depending on the status of the instrument or installation environment. We
recommend that the calibration frequency is determined in accordance with the status of the instrument or
installation environment and that you request that calibration be performed periodically.
Replaceable Parts and Operating Lifetimes
Properties of some parts used in the instrument may deteriorate after a long-term use.
The regular replacement of those parts is recommended to use the instrument properly for a long time.
For the replacement of the parts, please contact your authorized Hioki distributor or reseller.
The useful lives of the parts depend on the operating environment and frequency of use.
Operation cannot necessarily be guaranteed for the following recommended replacement period of each part.
Precautions during shipment
Be sure to observe the following precautions:
To avoid damage to the instrument, remove the accessories and optional equipment from the instrument.
Moreover, use the original packing materials in which it was shipped, and be sure to pack in a double car-
ton. Damage occurring during transportation is not covered by the warranty.
When sending the instrument for repair, be sure to include details of the problem.

Touching any of the high-voltage points inside the instrument is very dangerous.
Customers are not allowed to modify, disassemble, or repair the instrument.
Doing so may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
If damage is suspected, check the "Before having the instrument repaired" (p.164) section before contact-
ing your authorized Hioki distributor or reseller.
The fuse is housed in the power unit of the instrument. If the power does not turn on, the fuse may be
blown. If this occurs, a replacement or repair cannot be performed by customers. Please contact your
authorized Hioki distributor or reseller.
IMPORTANT
Periodic calibration is necessary in order to ensure that the instrument provides correct measurement results
of the specified accuracy.
