2.3.1.2. Head Covers
Description:
Head covers (see Figure 26) are located on the cross-direction sides of both upper and
lower heads. They are removable with the use of an 8-mm square key (see Figure 27).

Purpose:
Head covers protect sensor assemblies from environment disturbances, high
temperatures, and contamination. They also help to deter tampering with sensors and
safety systems.
