Configuring HPE Scalable Persistent Memory
NOTE: When you enable HPE Scalable Persistent Memory, the following occurs:
Advanced EEC Support is enabled
Node Interleaving is disabled
Extended Memory Test is disabled
Memory Clear on Warm Reset is disabled
Automatic Power-on is set to Always Power On
CAUTION: Changes to HPE Scalable Persistent Memory menu options results in fully reinitializing
all backup storage devices and losing all previous user data.
Prerequisites
Ensure that all requirements are met:
The server supports HPE Scalable Persistent Memory.
No other Persistent Memory options are enabled on the server.
Two HPE Scalable Persistent Memory 800W Flex Slot Power Supply with Integrated 400W Battery
Backup Units are installed on the server.
The server has the correct HPE Smart Memory DIMMs installed.
The server has a System RAM greater than 8 GB.
The server has supported backup storage devices installed.
Procedure
1. From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration
(RBSU) > Memory Options > Persistent Memory Options > Scalable Persistent Memory
Options.
2. View or configure:
Enable or disable Functionality.
Select Backup Storage Options to change these options.
Select Recovery Options to change these options.
Processors 1, 2: Spanned Persistent Memory: Displays the amount of spanned memory
available.
Processors 1, 2: Spanned Logical NVDIMM: Specifies the amount of spanned memory you want
to use.
Processor 1: Persistent Memory Available (GB): Displays the amount of memory available on
this processor that may be assigned as persistent memory.
