• Processor 1: Logical NVDIMM 2 (GB): Specifies the amount of spanned memory to use.
• Processor 2: Persistent Memory Available (GB): Displays the amount of memory available on
this processor that may be assigned as persistent memory.
• Processor 2: Logical NVDIMM 1 (GB): Specifies the amount of spanned memory to use.
• Processor 2: Logical NVDIMM 2 (GB): Specifies the amount of spanned memory to use.
3. Save your changes.

Procedure
1. From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration
(RBSU) > Memory Options > Persistent Memory Options > Scalable Persistent Memory
Options > Backup Storage Devices.
2. Select an option to configure NVM Express device usage:
• NVMe: The NVMe is used as a storage device.
• Scalable PMEM: The NVMe Device is used as a Logical NVDIMM Backup/Restore device.
3. Save your changes.

Configuring persistent memory recovery options
Procedure
1. From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration
(RBSU) > Memory Options > Persistent Memory Options > HPE Scalable Persistent Memory
Options > Recovery Options.
2. Enable or disable the following:
• Initialize Backup Storage Devices: When enabled, the persistent memory devices are
reinitialized on the next boot.
• Restore Configuration: When enabled, the persistent memory configuration on the devices will be
restored.
3. Save your changes.
