3. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
4. Do one of the following:
If the server is in tower mode, place the server on a flat, level surface with the access panel facing up .
If the server is in rack mode, remove the server from the rack .
5. Remove the access panel.
6. Disconnect any internal cables that are connected to the expansion card.
7. If an expansion card with internal cables is installed on the riser, disconnect the cables from the card.
8. Remove the expansion card:
a. Loosen the stabilizer bracket captive screw (callout 1), and then pull the bracket from the expansion card (callout 2).
b. Remove the expansion card from the tertiary riser.
