b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
4. Do one of the following:
If the server is in tower mode, place the server on a flat, level surface with the access panel facing up .
If the server is in rack mode, remove the server from the rack .
5. Remove the access panel.
6. Do the following:
If replacing the adapter on Slot 14, remove the primary riser cage .
If replacing the adapter on Slot 15, remove the secondary riser cage.
7. Remove the OCP NIC 3.0 adapter:
a. Rotate the locking pin to the open (vertical) position (callout 1).
b. Slide the adapter out of the bay (callout 2).

To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
