either a component or a blank.
ProcedureProcedure
1. Remove the front bezel.
2. Power down the server.
3. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
4. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
5. Do one of the following:
If the server is in tower mode, place the server on a flat, level surface with the access panel facing up .
If the server is in rack mode, remove the server from the rack .
6. Remove the access panel.
7. Remove the fan cage.
8. Disconnect the SATA-power Y-cable from the optical drive.
9. Disconnect the front I/O cables from the system board .
10. Remove the optical drive cage:
a. Remove the optical drive cage screws (callout 1).
b. Slide the optical drive cage out of the server (callout 2).
11. Remove the optical drive from the optical drive cage.
