Chapter 8 Troubleshooting and Maintenance
8.1 Troubleshooting
8.1.1 Fault Phenomenon
If a fault occurs, the keypad will display the fault code
, ALM
indicator lights on. Meanwhile, faulty relay
acts, HD5L-PLUS stops output and the motor coasts to stop.
8.1.2 Troubleshooting
When fault alarm occurs, user should record the fault in detail and take proper action according to the
Table 8-1.

No display when power up
• Input grid voltage is too low or none
• The power supply of the drive board
is faulty
• The wiring of the control board, drive
board and keypad is disconnected
• The rectifier bridge is damaged
• The controller buffer resistance is
damaged
• The control board and keypad are
faulty
• Check the input power voltage
• Check the bus voltage
• Reconnect the keypad, or check
the wiring of the control board,
drive board, and keypad
• Contact factory for repair

DC bus undervoltage
• At the begining of power on and at
the end of power off
• Input voltage is too low
• Improper wiring leads to
undervoltage of hardware
• It is normal status of power on and
power off
• Check input power voltage
• Check wiring and wire HD5L-PLUS
properly

Acc. overcurrent
• Improper connection between
controller and motor
• Improper motor parameters
• The rating of the used HD5L-PLUS is
too small
• Acc./Dec. time is too short
• Connect HD5L-PLUS and motor
properly
• Set correct motor parameters
• Select controller with higher rating
• Set proper Acc. time and Dec. time
