● You have powered o the RH8100 V3. For details, see 6.2 Powering O the
RH8100 V3. Then you have removed all power cables from the server.
● You have removed the front I/O module. For details, see 5.6.1 Removing the
Front I/O Module.
● You have removed barriers such as the iBBU or supercapacitor support. For
details, see 5.6.7 Removing a Supercapacitor.
Data
● You have obtained the cabinet number and chassis number of the RH8100 V3.
● You have located the RH8100 V3 based on the preceding information, and
labeled its panel to prevent misoperations.
● You have determined the position on the RH8100 V3 for installing a RAID
controller card.
Tools
● ESD gloves
● Phillips screwdriver (M3)
● Packaging materials, for example, an ESD bag
Hardware
A RAID controller card to be installed in the RH8100 V3
Procedure
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves. For details, see 1 Safety Instructions.
Step 2 Take the spare RAID controller card out of its ESD bag.
Step 3 Align the RAID controller card with the connector on the mainboard and slowly
insert the RAID controller card into the connector. See step (1) in Figure 5-73.
Step 4 Tighten the screws on the RAID controller card. See step (2) in Figure 5-73.
