Note 1: All slots support full-height 3/4-length PCIe cards and are backward
compatible with half-height half-length PCIe cards.
Note 2: All slots support PCIe cards of 75 W or higher power, depending on the
PCIe card model. A GPU is preinstalled with two additional power cables for
sucient power.
Note 3: Table 2-6 lists the default values of B/D/F. If PCIes are not in full
conguration or a PCIe card with a PCI bridge is congured, the values of B/D/F
may dier.
Restricted PCIe slots
Some PCIe cards require I/O resources. When installing PCIe cards in PCIe slots,
note the following points:
● A PCIe card that requires no I/O resources can be installed in any PCIe slot.
● A PCIe card that requires I/O resources cannot be installed in a restricted PCIe
slot that provides no I/O resources because the system has
insucient I/O
resources. Restricted PCIe slots support only PCIe cards that do not require I/O
resources. Table 2-7 lists the restricted PCIe slots on the rear I/O module.

Note 1: The PCIe cards whose values of IO Ports are Yes in the Intelligent
Computing Compatibility Checker require I/O resources and therefore cannot
be installed in restricted PCIe slots. If such a PCIe card is installed in a restricted
PCIe slot, the server reports a critical alarm indicating an I/O resource
conguration error. To clear this alarm, install the PCIe card in an unrestricted
PCIe slot.
Note 2: If the back I/O module of the RH8100 V3 is fully
congured (congured
with seven FC adapters), SAN boot is not supported.
