D Sending a Geographical call
Send a Geographical call when urgency or safety
message announcement is necessary to the ships in
the particular area.
1. Push [Compose Non-Distress] .
 To display the screen from the Menu screen:
([MENU] >
Compose Non-Distress)
2. Select “Message Type.”
3. Select “Geographical.”
4. Select “Area.”
5. Select “Circle” or “Quadrant.”
6. Enter the area information.

When selecting “Circle”:
You can send a Geographical call within the area
covered by a set nautical mile radius from your
position.
1 Enter the latitude of your position.
After entering, select “Done” and push [ENT].
 Displays your ship's position as default.
2 Enter the longitude of your position.
After entering, select “Done” and push [ENT].
 Displays your ship's position as default.
