When using an application
The following applications are compatible with the Android or iOS device.
See each application’s manual for details.

Android device
RS-MS1A: You can use the extended D-STAR
functions to exchange pictures or
messages or display the received
D-PRS station data on a map
application.
RS-MS3A: You can use the DV Gateway function.
ST-4001A: You can make an image to be used
for the Share Picture function, and
transfer it to the transceiver.
iOS device
RS-MS1I: You can use the extended D-STAR
functions to exchange pictures or
messages or display the received
D-PRS station data on a map
application.
ST-4001I: You can make an image to be used
for the Share Picture function, and
transfer it to the transceiver.
DRequired items
Android device

devices that have Android 5.0 or later installed.
L The applications have been tested with the Android 5.x.x,
6.x.x, 7.x.x, 8.x.x, 9.0, and 10.0. (As of November 2021)
iOS device

have iOS version 12 or later, iPadOS version 13 or
later installed.
L The ST-4001I has been tested with iOS 12 and 13, and
iPadOS 13. (As of November 2021)

OS version, installed applications, or other reasons.
• The indications or items may differ, depending on the OS
version or settings.
When using a USB cable
• Android device
Android 5.0 or later with the USB host function.
• Cable (purchase separately)


TIP: The USB host function is needed to use a USB
device with an Android device. To check whether or
not your Android device has the USB host system,
ask the Android device’s manufacturer.
When using the Bluetooth function
• Android device or iOS device
Android 5.0 or later with the Bluetooth function.
or
iOS version 12 or later, iPadOS version 13 or later
with the Bluetooth function.
L When using the RS-MS3A, you cannot connect an
Android device to the transceiver through Bluetooth.
NOTE: Some functions may not work correctly,
• depending on other applications installed in the Android
device.
