3. Intended Use
• The Instagrid ONE serves to supply electrical devices, which are intended to be operated on a com-
mon household 230V/16A socket, with mobile energy; these devices are also referred to as “consum-
ers” below.
• This explicitly includes devices, which, when fed from an earthed source, are dependent on an
intact protective earthing for implementation of the fault protection against electrical shock (pro-
tection class I).
• Explicitly excluded are devices, which:
• Are dependent on a protective conductor connection for the implementation of functional
safety features (e.g. systematic leakage current measurement for circular saws).
• Feed energy into the public power supply, e.g. “plug-in solar devices”.
• Due to the special design of the Instagrid ONE, neither the operation of sensitive consumers (e.g.:
AV equipment) nor the use of devices with strong repercussions on the AC supply (e.g. caused by
high starting currents or reactive power requirement) poses any problem.
• The Instagrid ONE meets very stringent threshold values both with regard to the emission of elec-
tromagnetic interferences and with regard to the insensitivity to such interferences, which makes
it equally suitable for use in residential and industrial areas.
• The Instagrid ONE meets the requirements of type of protection IP54 and is therefore suitable for
both in indoor and outdoor use.
4. Device Description
The Instagrid One is a portable energy accumulator based on lithium-ion-batteries with 230 VAC input
and output. The main accumulator with a nominal energy content of 2100 Wh is subdivided into inde-
pendent elements with an energy content of less than 100 Wh.
In addition, there is a starter battery, which has a particular role to play during the start of the Instagrid
ONE, see [Chapter 6.4.].
The cells in lithium-ion-batteries are sealed gas-tight and are safe, provided the manufacturer’s
instructions are observed during use and handling. The user is liable for any non-intended use, see
[Chapter 3.].
The Instagrid ONE oers the opportunity of communicating with the Instagrid APP via a built-in Blue-
tooth interface. Further information in this regard can be found under: https://instagrid.co
