the Instagrid ONE is in the operating states [Charging] or [Discharging]. In
this case, an empty starter battery can be expected to be fully charged after
approx. 12 hours.
The Instagrid ONE is in [Transport] mode and the charging input is connected
to the mains supply. In this case, an empty starter battery can be expected to
be fully charged after approx. 5 hours.
7. Further Information for Skilled Electricians
The Instagrid ONE has been designed so that the stringent requirements of internationally accepted
product safety standards (see Declaration of Conformity) are met. Compliance with these standards
ensures that no dangers for the user can emanate from the Instagrid ONE itself. However, these
standards do not contain any specications for the case that a consumer is connected to the
Instagrid ONE.
This creates a low voltage network for which there are – nationally diering – requirements on the
personal protection to be implemented. In the following, this topic will be considered without claiming
general validity; the user is always responsible to research and apply the relevant valid regulations.
7.1. Personal Protection
7.1.1. Insulation
All accessible parts of the Instagrid ONE are insulated towards the charging input [8] and also towards
the output [4 | 9]. The same applies to the distance between input and output – even if the device is ei-
ther in operating state [Charging], see [Chapter 6.2.], or in operating state [Discharging], see [Chapter
6.2.]. A superposition of the two states is not possible.
7.1.2. Charge Mode
In operating state [Charging], the Instagrid ONE meets the requirements on an electric device of pro-
tection class II.
